I bought a regency green Pashley Princess classic three speed bike from this store four years ago. I love my bike and have covered over 12000 miles on it. This store and its staff have always been most helpful from my first test ride to the servicing and spare parts for my bike. A recent visit to the store for a pair of tyres for my bike and the guy was as helpful as ever.
Quite unwelcoming. Turned up with my modern racing bike mid ride to ask for some help with a problem that occurred mid-ride. Was told upon my arrival we dont have anything for you in here this took place as I entered the shop and in response to my Hello (before explaining my issue). I own lots of traditional bikes. From Mercians to Saxons, to old Dawes to Pashleys. Traditional seems to imply new Pashleys. I love to support British brands, but feel rather put off by the dismissive attitude and snobbery in this shop. As a lover of vintage bikes, I am definitely a potential customer for the shop. Worth traveling 70 miles to get to Mercian in order to avoid.I have included a photo of a Mercian to see why.I must also comment that this was my second visit. The first visit was to obtain a crankset for my classic Peugeot, met with a similar experience. Thought it was worth another attempt - wrong.
Wow, what a fantastic experience.These guys went above and beyond in locating some spare parts for my slightly aging Pashley.Friendly, knowledgeable, genuine guys.If you appreciate quality and traditional hand built English bicycles, then this little canal side shop is a little slice of heaven, full of exquisite bikes and accessories.Oh, and the place is so nice, we couldn't leave without buying another bike! A beautiful limited edition Pashley. Thanks guys
This must be the best Pashley dealer on the planet! Nice friendly welcome, very helpful and a knowledge about Pashley bikes that you won't find anywhere else. Definitely worth driving over 100 miles to visit!
