A great bookshop with a large range of rare and interesting books. Topography, local history, humor, pre 20th centurary classics, natural history, languages, children's, theology, arts, crafts, gardening. To name the sections I can remember.
A wonderful bookshop with an eclectic range of really interesting books! The owners are lovely and really take time to help you out. You can feel the history and care in every nook of the shop!
Biggish place, plenty to browse, good range of cheap to quite special.
The Chaucer Head Bookshop is in Stratford-Upon-Avon, a few minutes walking distance from the main attractions around Shakespeares birthplace. The store advertises rare books, which youll find, but also more contemporary and popular titles as well. The building is beautiful and old - matching the towns vintage - and theres a lovely old dog to greet visitors to the shop. The service, however, is curt and not quite as warm as the rest of the stores in the area, but they are professional. Also, expect to pay higher tourist prices given the location of this store (not comparing the prices to Amazon, but to other second-hand and rare booksellers around the UK).
A great selection of books but do expect to pay Stratford tourist prices.
