Staff lovely. Great food. Rooms very nice
Firstly, the staff were absolutely fantastic, every single one of them we met was polite, courteous & nothing was a problem,which is refreshing.The bed was big & comfy, but the cleaning was lacking a bit.Dusty areas along top of mirror,dead flies in light cover,cobwebs in reception skylight,coffee stain up wall & all pictured.Toilet had what looked like dirty water from an emptied mop bucket with gritty remnants which didn't flush away & sink looked a bit greasy inside.Hotel is a bit dated & could do with s spruce up but by no means terrible,but staff are definitely the main asset.Asked for fresh milk to be brought up for tea,& this promptly arrived, in a tumbler,which made pouring it without spilling it impossible.They do have milk jugs because they were out for breakfast, which was good.
Great location, we had Deluxe Suite 46 which was very nice, see photos. A couple of issues working out the heating and the bath not draining away the water but both resolved by management quickly. Very enjoyable stay. Great for walking into town.
Clean room and comfy bed. I had pancakes for breakfast that were cooked in a little to much oil but the scrambled eggs and bacon were perfect.
Nice hotel with great views, good bar. Breakfast was nice but asked for toast twice and still didn't get any.
