Didn't eat hear so cannot comment on the food. A cosy drinking bar with a nice atmosphere. Staff were friendly and efficient. More space for dining here and only a small bar area.
Excellent local pub doing fantastic food, especially the carvery! Book to avoid disappointment as it is very popular! Lovely historic, traditional decor for what is a pub with over 500 years of history.
Visited the Old Thatch Tavern for a meal, and a separate occasion for drinks.Prices were good, great quality food, good selection of drinks, including real ales.Above all else was the friendly welcome we got, that didn't seem out of place.Perfect pub for a catch-up with friends,nor a nice evening meal, but I would not say this is a restaurant. Overall, heartily recommend.
Great food and beer in a cute traditional pub. Excellent staff - friendly, helpful and efficient. Actually thoroughly wipe their tables clean! Definitely intend to revisit.
Lovely dinner here, I had fish and chips and my wife had the turkey roast. The kids portions were generous while still being slightly smaller. The beer was well kept and fresh.All in all this is a lovely little pub with huge historical character in a beautiful little town. I thoroughly recommend making this pub part of your visit!Family friendly.
