Very friendly place. Relaxing environment for a meal, or just to enjoy a few pints with family or friends. Great service. Very spacious with a good outside seating area next to the river. I would recommend this place wholeheartedly.
Simply awesome. We were a family of 11 (yes 11) including young kids and they looked after us so well. None of us had a single complaint. The food was great, it was served on time, as were the drinks. The staff were really attentive and John our waiter was perfect. The pub has a family friendly atmosphere throughout and all of the staff were great - probably thanks to a great manager too. It was a memorable lunch. Thank you Red Lion.
Really lovely atmosphere and staff. The food was enjoyable, but me and my friend did decide to split one burger and then one sticky toffee pudding because the portions were too big for us, but that effectively meant we ate for half price so that wasn't an issue for us!Would we go back? Yes. If we lived local I could see us frequenting this pub.
Lovely place. Been here loads of times. Food usually very good. Unfortunately the fish and chips were not up to their high standard as not hot enough for me. Will still eat there and see what happens next time. Service excellent though .
Nice. Just on the canal basin. Parking next door is payable though I think you can claim it back with a meal. Need to check though. Food is standard pub fayre. Reasonable prices and not too busy in the evening. Staff friendly and helpful.
