Great place to go if your into mobiles and crazy machines. Brilliant for kids & big kids!!. You can watch and interact with the mobiles and crazy ( MAD) machines..If you want something to do for a morning or afternoon this is the place to go. You can buy kits to try and build your own interactive machine on the way out too.
What a brilliant place, for adults as well as kids. To call it a "museum" probably doesn't do it justice, it's a collection of fascinating fun things. I challenge anyone to not be able to smile all the way round, and carry on smiling for the rest of the day. Superb!
We were expecting a science museum type experience but it is much more an display of dynamic art and just delightful! Lots of buttons to push to activate the exhibits which are so clever. A lot involve marbles falling through clever structures and are very soothing to watch. There is an area to build your own structures which kept my 9 year old busy for ages.
I went with my nieces (3 and 5) and they had a great time. It's very interactive - lots of buttons to press that trigger all sorts of intricate moving parts. Anything from marble runs to a t-rex heads and machine that claps back! It's quite small so only takes an hour or so to go round.
This place is amazing! We went here with our three kids and they all loved it, but so did we. We spent 4h here and it was great. There were a lot of things to explore and look at. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the kids asked, why they don't build another floor, so we can explore more great stuff.
