Very nice hotel, was given a free upgrade upon arrival to a suite. Room was abit dated but very nice

The hotel itself and grounds are beautiful. The large stately, communal rooms are elegant and grand, and you can have lunch in front of one of the fire places or sat by one of the large windows whilst taking in the superb views. We found the Spa treatments quite good, but the rooms were cold and it was a bit hard to relax and enjoy it properly. The Spa itself needs to be cleaned, up as it is looking very tired. Chipped tiles and hair on the floor in the changing rooms is very off putting to say the least. The Jacuzzi only looks welcome when it is bubbling away, as more chipped tiles are apparent when it isn't! The locker room toilets also need to be checked more often. Our bedroom was very tired and that part of the building is in desperate need of a revamp. The water coming out of the shower was almost non existent and made alot of noise when it was on. Breakfast wasn't great. It felt very cheap and lacked quality, almost felt like abit of an after thought....but on the other hand dinner in the evening was very good and the service was excellent. We were greeted by Stefanos on reception who was very friendly and welcoming. Some of the other staff members were a bit more surely, and really need to be more aware of their customers.

Fabulous 2 day stay at the Welcome Hotel Food was excellent , big thank you to Kasia in the restaurant who made us feel so welcome. Wonderful staff who couldn't do enough to make our stay feel specialSmall issue regarding the Spa facilities ,however Mat was excellent with a satisfactory outcome.

We loved our stay in this iconic, heritage hotel. The spa was incredible and the staff were so kind to us and couldnt fault the service at the restaurant. The food was top notch too!

The hotel looks grand in the front elevation, from inside its more old fashioned wooden interiors, typical british interiors. Rooms are nice, big and clean. Decent breakfast, restaurant has very small menu and nothing exciting. There are some really nice restaurants in the town though. Hotel is located outside the town but commute is easily available. Didn't get chance to visit its garden but looked excellent from a distance.
